KABUL: U.S. drone strikes on Wednesday night have killed 25 militants in Afghanistan's eastern province of Nangarhar, the National Directorate of Security (NDS) said Thursday according to a report on Khaama Press.
No civilians were harmed due to the airstrikes, NDS spokesman Sediq Sediqi said.
The strikes come only a day after at least 43 Daesh-affiliated militants were killed by drones in Haska Mina and Achin districts of Nangarhar. Last night's strikes take the death toll of insurgents killed by drones in Nangarhar province this week past 120 with dozens injured, the report added.
