Qatar’s Permanent Representative to the UN H E Sheikha Alya bint Ahmed bin Saif Al Thani met in New York with the Commissioner-General of the United Nations Relief and Works Agency for Palestine Refugees in the Near East (UNRWA) Philippe Lazzarini. The two sides discussed a host of topics related to providing humanitarian assistance, particularly the 2023 UNRWA Pledging Conference. During the meeting, H E Sheikha Alya bint Ahmed bin Saif Al Thani reiterated the State of Qatar’s commitment to continue its generous support to the agency and meeting the urgent humanitarian needs of the Palestinians.
