Doha: Qatar Olympic Committee (QOC) President H E Sheikh Joaan bin Hamad Al Thani yesterday honoured the graduates of the Executive Master’s Program in Sports Law and a Diploma in Sports Management affiliated with the Qatar Olympic Academy (QOA).
The ceremony, which was held at the QOC headquarters, witnessed the graduation of three batches for the years 2019, 2020, 2021 from the Executive Master’s Program in Sports Law, and the graduates of the Sports Management Diploma for the class of 2021.
The Executive Master Degree Program in Sports Law comes in cooperation with the University of Lleida (Spain), and with accreditation from the International Olympic Committee, the Olympic Council of Asia, the International Olympic Academy, the Court of Arbitration for Sport (CAS), and the QOC, in addition to the accreditation of the certificate by the Ministry of Education and Higher Education in Qatar.
The QOA offers this program to anyone who has a desire to study sports law, holders of accredited bachelors degrees working in the sports field, as well as those wishing to qualify to work in the sports field.
The Advanced Sports Management Diploma program began in 2008 and was among the first 20 Olympic Committees in the world.
The participants of the diploma program receive many sciences that serve them in the field of their sports and administrative lives, such as Organising an Olympic Sport Organisation, Managing Strategically, Organising a Major Sport Event, and other sciences that the student deals with, during the six semesters of the program.
