Qatar Gymnastics Federation (QGF) Secretary General Abeer Al Buainain
Doha: Qatar Gymnastics Federation (QGF) Secretary General Abeer Al Buainain exuded confidence in preparations for the next week’s 9th Asian Artistic Gymnastics Championships.
The competition will be held at the Aspire Dome from June 15-18.
“Our goal is to present a version that is no less successful than the Artistic World Cup and to re-affirm Qatar’s position as a top-notch sports destination,” said Al Buanain, who is also the Competition Director.
Al Buainain stressed the need to complete the work at an accelerated pace and also hoped the LOC will be able to complete all arrangements related to the championships.
Doha will host the Asian Championships for the second time since it was held here in 2008.
Al Buainain, who is a well-known WAG judge, praised the efforts made by various tournament committees at the LOC.
“There’s a great desire to make this competition a hugely successful one. The LOC has provided all the requirements and equipment for hosting that reflects Qatar’s keenness on organising an exceptional event.
“The main competition and training halls have been given the final touches to ensure they’re ready before the competition starts,” said Al Buainain at a recently-held LOC meeting.
“Various committees including hotel accommodation, logistics, and travel among others have been formed to manage the four-day competition.”
