Doha, Qatar: Rain accompanied by thunder, strong winds and rough sea conditions are expected to affect Qatar on Thursday, April 9, 2026 and again on Saturday, according to the Qatar Meteorology Department.
In its latest forecast, the department said Friday will see relatively calmer conditions with fog, moderate temperatures and cloud cover.
Chance of scattered rain remain higher on Thursday and Saturday, while temperatures are expected to drop slightly during the night.
Today, the wind will be 8-18 knots, southeasterly to northeasterly, reaching up to 28 knots during rains. Meanwhile, on Friday, April 10, it will be 3-13 knots, northwesterly to northeasterly, and the next day, it will be 3-12 knots, northwesterly to southwesterly, reaching up to 26 knots during rainfall.
Sea conditions will be moderate, with wave heights ranging between 2 and 6ft on all days, rising to a maximum of 10ft, during periods of unsettled weather.
