Shantiniketan Indian School (SIS) students of KG and Primary Wing generously contributed to a social service and welfare campaign.
The little ones extended a helping hand to the most underprivileged, needy and deprived.
“It was indeed a very rewarding experience which helped us to sow the seeds of gentleness and compassion in the hearts of our students,” a school statement said. Addressing the students, Mehjabeen Hasan enlightened the students about the true spirit of charity and social service. She encouraged them to do righteous deeds and share and to greet with a smile. “Every act of goodness is charity”, she said.
Contributions from students in the form of clothes, toys, grocery items and monetary donations were distributed to helpers and cleaners. Besides, donations were sent to different charity centers by the student representatives and teachers.
