THE Public Works Authority, ‘Ashghal’ announced that it will introduce a temporary alternative access to Al Busayer Street from Al Rayyan Al Jadeed Street.
The diversion will start on Friday and last for six weeks in coordination with the Traffic Police Department.
During this period, road users travelling along Al Rayyan Al Jadeed Street towards Olympic Roundabout, who would usually turn left on to Al Busayer Street, would now be required to access Al Busayer Street using a newly constructed U-turn.
The traffic signal on the junction of Al Rayyan Al Jadeed Street/Al Busayer Street will be removed to allow free-flowing traffic entry to, and access from, Al Busayer Street.
The traffic diversion is required to allow for completing works on the Al Rayyan Road Upgrade, Phase One.
Once completed, the project will deliver three major interchanges with two underpasses and three signalised at-grade junctions. It will establish strategic links between New Rayyan, Bani Hajer and central Doha.
