Qatar is expected to receive rains this evening, with increasing cloud formation over the country. An unstable weather condition is expected to hit the country this evening, bringing in thunderstorms and raising temperatures to a bit more moderate degrees.
Today the weather is expected to be hazy to misty or foggy at places in the morning, with cloudy skies. By evening rains are expected and nights will be comparatively colder. With misty conditions in early hours the weather bureau has warned of poor visibility, which can go below 2km at times.
Most of the places in the country will have a temperature difference of above 10 degrees Celsius. The numerical difference between day and night temperatures is technically called diurnal temperature variation.
Doha will have a maximum temperature of 23 degrees Celsius, while minimum temperature would be 15 degrees Celsius. The maximum temperature in Al Khor, Messaieed and Al Wakrah would be 22 degrees Celsius, while minimum would be 10 degrees Celsius in Al Khor and 9 degrees Celsius in Messaieed and Al Wakrah. In Dukhan, the temperature would range between 20 and 15 degrees Celsius, while in Abu Samra, the temperature would be between 21 and 9 degrees Celsius.
Meanwhile, the wind will be less than 4 knots at first, increasing to up to 13 knots later, inshore. Sea would be calm, with wave heights between 1 and 3 feet reaching 4 feet at times.
A special bulletin issued by the weather bureau recently said Qatar is likely to be affected by low pressure in both the upper and lower atmosphere beginning today evening and last until Tuesday.
