Doha, Qatar: In a new external programme, the Sheikh Abdulla Bin Zaid Al-Mahmoud Islamic Cultural Center organised an Arabic language course for twelve students from Mongolia, aiming to enhance their knowledge and proficiency in the Arabic language.
Dr. Saleh bin Ali Al-Marri, Director of the Center, emphasised the Center’s recognition of the importance of external courses in spreading knowledge of the Arabic language, as it serves as the key to understanding Arab culture and is considered an important global language.
He also explained that by teaching Arabic, the Center provides an opportunity for communication and interaction between cultures and civilizations. Hosting the Mongolian students, he noted, marks a continuation of the Center’s efforts in Arabic language education, as the Center had previously hosted students from the Russian Federation and conducted external courses in Bosnia and Cambodia.
The course includes teaching students the basics of the Arabic language and training them in its four main skills: reading, writing, speaking, and listening. This is done according to the Arabic curriculum developed by the Center through a select group of experienced instructors specialising in teaching Arabic to non-native speakers. The courses have attracted a large number of learners from various groups, including diplomats.
