Ministry of Municipality holds seminar on World Customer Service Week

DOHA: The Ministry of Municipality, represented by the Customer Service and Unified Call Center Department, held a seminar yesterday to mark World Customer Service Week 2025. The seminar took place at the Ministry’s main building on the Corniche, with the attendance of a number of specialists and experts.

Participating in the seminar were Vice Chairperson of the National Human Rights Committee Dr. Mohammed bin Saif Al Kuwari; Secretary-General of the Central Municipal Council Mohamed Nasrallah; Islamic preacher Dr. Mowafi Azab; and Assistant Director of the Customer Service and Unified Call Center Department, Amal Al Mohannadi.

The speakers highlighted the importance of instilling values in public service, enhancing the quality of performance and customer interaction in line with digital transformation aspirations, and imparting a culture of customer service and leadership in the institutional performance system. Dr. Mohammed bin Saif Al Kuwari emphasised that the Customer Service Week is an annual occasion to appreciate front-line employees in institutions, pointing out that customer service is not merely an administrative process, but a humane practice based on the principles of dignity, respect, and equality.

Amal Al Mohannadi reviewed the main stages a customer goes through from the start of an interaction to the end of a service, noting that the Customer Service and Unified Call Center Department has adopted the latest digital technologies to facilitate customer access to services, reflecting the Ministry’s commitment to improving performance and achieving public satisfaction.

The Secretary-General of the Central Municipal Council noted the importance of strengthening community participation channels and adopting new mechanisms to convey citizens’ voices. Dr. Mowafi Azab spoke about the faith-based and ethical dimensions of public service.
