Sri Lankan Army Cultural Troupe brought a slice of Lankan culture to Qatar when they enthralled the audience with folkloric performances at Katara Drama Theatre last night. Dressed in elaborate costumes, the 20-member troupe presented a varied collection of traditional dances - mainly celebratory and ritualistic – depicting the country’s rich history and representing the wide cultural spectrum of various provinces of the island nation. Katara General Manager Dr Khalid bin Ibrahim Al Sulaiti and Sri Lankan Ambassador Dr W M Karunadasa were among those attended the colourful event.
