Doha: H H Sheikha Moza bint Nasser witnessed the graduation ceremony for the first batch of students of Shafallah Center for Children with Special Needs. The batch comprised 189 graduates.
Several state officials attended the ceremony along with Qatar Foundation for Social Action (QFSA) board members and parents.
Addressing the ceremony, QFSA Chairperson Munira Al Misnad thanked H H Sheikha Moza for gracing the event and praised her efforts towards integrating people with mental disabilities, educating them and stimulating their capacities.
Al Misnad said agreements with some entities had resulted in 84 graduates joining the workforce in various sectors. She urged officials to work with QFSA to find a supportive environment for vulnerable sectors of society. She also encouraged graduates for punctuality and sense of responsibility and thanked the centre and parents for support for students.
