DOHA: The Supreme Education Council (SEC) has asked Independent schools to submit a statistical report about the students using schools buses and those opting for private transport.
In a circular, the Education Institute of the SEC asked the schools to furnish a detailed report, including the total number of students and those (Qatari and expatriates) using school busses. Students using private transport should also be included in the report, it said, giving one week to furnish the report.
In another circular, the SEC asked the schools to issue textbooks to the students of home classes as soon as possible. The test date of students of home classes is near so textbooks should be issued soon, said the SEC.
As per the circular, textbooks should be given to Qatari students, those  from other GCC countries and children of Qatari women for free.
However, students for other nationalities will be charged for textbooks. In another circular, the SEC asked the schools to complete administrative procedures while transferring students from one school to another.
