Ulan Bator: Mongolian Minister of Foreign Affairs L Purevsuren and Defence Minister Tserendash Tsolmon separately met Qatar’s Non-resident Ambassador to Mongolia Sultan bin Salmin Al Mansouri. Talks dealt with relations between both countries, means of enhancing them and matters of common concern.
Doha: Assistant Foreign Minister H E Mohamed bin Abdullah Al Rumaihi yesterday hosted a farewell party for outgoing Sri Lankan Ambassador Jayantha Palipane and Senegalese Ambassador Elsheikh Eltijani Si. Several heads of diplomatic missions and bureaus and heads of Foreign Ministry departments were present.
DOHA: In conjunction with the Community Footprints Programme of Ritz-Carlton Hotel Company, staff of Sharq Village and Spa donated food boxes and other essentials to the less privileged under the care of Qatar Charity (QC) during Ramadan.
A donation drive was held and food boxes were handed over to QC, whose activities cover more than 40 countries in Africa, Asia and Europe. QC also provides aid to local communities, in particular orphans, families without income and victims of unforeseen circumstances.
The charity was established in 1992 and is one of the largest non-governmental charities in Qatar.
“Ramadan is a time of giving and sharing,” said Kamal Chahine, Director, Human Resources, Sharq Village & Spa. It is known to be a month of self-discipline and greater emphasis is placed on charitable giving, hospitality and generosity.
