Doha: Minister of Transport H E Jassim Seif Ahmed Al Sulaiti said all infrastructure and road network projects are progressing as scheduled.
He said Qatar Highway Design Manual (QHDM) and Qatar Traffic Control Manual (QTCM) are of great importance to road users and both will be circulated to authorities in charge of implementing infrastructure and road projects.
He said the manuals contain urban development requirements, including specifications for bridges, tunnels, bicycle and pedestrian paths and road projects.
They have avoided shortcomings of previous manuals and have been updated to meet development requirements, he added.
The Minister said the manuals will be applied to future projects, including maintenance works.
