India & Kazakhstan Sign Agreement on Uranium Supply

Astana, Kazakhstan: India and Kazakhstan Wednesday further strengthening their economic, defence and energy ties, signing five agreements, including a second agreement for supply of uranium.
The two countries also decided to transfer sentenced persons, the Indian news agency (UNI) reported.
Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi, in his statement after the talks with Kazakh president Sultan Nazarbayev in Astana, vowed to take the economic and strategic ties to a new level. Modi said the two countries have a remarkable convergence on a number of issues and said they will continue to work in tandem at various forums.
Addressing a joint media conference with Kazakh President, the Prime Minister who is on a six-nation tour to Russia and five Central Asian nations said, "Our defence and security cooperation is an important dimension of our strategic partnership. We both want to make it stronger, including in defence manufacturing."
Pointing out that Kazakhstan was India's biggest economic partner in the region, the Prime Minister resolved to work together to take economic ties to a new level. (QNA
