Gunmen kill 3, wound 1 near Baltimore university: Police

Baltimore: Three people were killed and one was wounded when gunmen opened fire on a group of people on a street near the University of Maryland, Baltimore, police said on Wednesday. 

Two gunmen emerged from two separate light-colored vans and began shooting people just before 11pm on Tuesday (0300 GMT Wednesday), campus police said in a statement. 

A male was pronounced dead at the scene and a male and a female died while receiving medical treatment, the police said. The fourth victim, a woman, was hospitalized. 

Police urged people in the area to exercise caution while the gunmen were sought. 

The Baltimore Sun reported that shots were fired into a vehicle traveling on the same block five days ago. Reuters
