Qatar University (QU) and University of Surrey – UK recently signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) to establish collaboration in the field of education and research.
The agreement was signed in Guildford, Surrey, by QU Vice- President for Research nd Graduate Studies, Prof Mariam Al Maadeed and University of Surrey President and Vice-Chancellor, Prof G Q Max Lu.
The terms of the agreement includes collaboration on joint research projects in areas of mutual interest including water and food security, environment, nanotechnology, and cyber security. Other areas of collaboration include the exchange of students and visiting scholars, hosting visiting delegations, and joint cultural programmes and internship opportunities.
Commenting on the MoU, Prof Mariam Al Maadeed said: “The MoU demonstrates Qatar University’s commitment to advance research in key areas and to provide innovative solutions that meet the needs of the community and industry, in line with Qatar National Vision 2030.”
