Doha, Qatar: The Training and Development Center at the Ministry of Education and Higher Education has concluded the third edition of the “Irtiqa” Forum, held under the theme “Because they are our trust… we are their safety,” with a series of specialised awareness and training sessions targeting students and parents.
The closing phase of the forum featured three dedicated sessions designed for parents as well as intermediate and secondary school students, aiming to strengthen partnership between families and learners as key pillars of the educational process.
A session titled “Harbors of Reassurance,” delivered by Dr. Ayed Al-Qahtani, focused on equipping parents with practical tools to support their children’s academic journey. Meanwhile, the “Stronger Than Challenges” sessions, presented to male students by Dr. Mohammed Al-Anzi and to female students by Ms. Nawar Al Mahmoud, aimed to enhance students’ positive coping skills and promote self-directed learning, ensuring better alignment between home and school efforts.
The forum witnessed strong community engagement, with participation figures underscored this success, with more than 1,100 classes from preparatory and secondary levels involved, and over 4,500 attendees across the three sessions.
Commenting on the initiative, Najla Al-Khater, Head of the Crisis Training Committee and Acting Head of Training Programmes Planning at the Training and Development Centre, stated that the forum forms part of the committee’s efforts to ensure the continuity of training under current circumstances.
She emphasised that the positive outcomes of such initiatives will directly contribute to enhancing the learning environment and better preparing all stakeholders.
