Katara General Manager Dr Khalid bin Ibrahim Al Sulaiti and Turkish Ambassador Ahmet Demirok met yesterday at Katara on the occasion of the conclusion of the envoy’s tour of duty.
Al Sulaiti thanked Demirok for his efforts and cooperation throughout his stay in Qatar, which resulted to huge developments especially in the field of culture. “The strong bilateral cooperation resulted in achieving flourishing developments in strengthening and enhancing the cultural relations between the two countries. Furthermore, the Turkish embassy and the Cultural Village Foundation- Katara successfully strived to extend bridges of communication among peoples through the effective hosting of various events, festivals, and cultural weeks that thrived the cultural village with a Turkish sense with its rich heritage and culture,” said Al Sulaiti.
Moreover, he wished him success on his return to his country and his next assignment. Al Sulaiti presented a memento to the ambassador which was a painting by Qatari artist Sheikha Athba Al Thani reflecting authentic Qatari culture.
Demirok hailed the efforts of Katara in providing a common ground for all creative people and being a global cultural hub that brings all cultures together.
