Georgetown University in Qatar (GU-Q) has opened registration for Spring session of its Community Education Program. Starting on March 12, people in Qatar will have opportunity to learn new skills or explore personal interest through diverse range of courses.
The university’s Community Education Program is open to all nationals, with weekly classes held in the evenings to suit needs of working professionals. There are 15 courses on offer this Spring, which will be taught over six weeks at GU-Q’s Education City campus. A number of these classes are held exclusively in Arabic, including Arabic Formal Writing, Understanding Islamic Manuscripts, Public Finance Fundamentals, and Co-Active Coaching.
Moreover, there are six new courses, which cover topics ranging from information systems to data visualisation and managing WordPress websites.
One of the courses to be offered first time is Arabic Masterpieces in English. “This course will give students an opportunity to read and enjoy a brief selection of major 20th Century Arabic literature, in English,” explained course instructor Abdul Rahman Chamseddine.
While registration is open until end of first week of classes — March 16, GU-Q is offering discount to students who register before February 23, 2017.
