Gaza: Three Palestinians have been killed and three others wounded in an Israeli air strike on the southern Gaza city of Khan Younis, according to Palestinian officials.
The Palestinian news agency (Wafa) said an Israeli drone struck a tent sheltering displaced people in the Al Mawasi area of Khan Younis, killing three people and injuring three others. One of the wounded was reported to be in a critical condition.
The strike comes as Israeli occupation continues its military campaign in the Gaza Strip, which began on Oct. 7, 2023. Palestinian authorities say the offensive has resulted in tens of thousands of deaths and injuries, as well as large numbers of missing people and hundreds of thousands displaced.
The offensive has also led to severe humanitarian conditions across the enclave, with widespread destruction of infrastructure, acute shortages of food and medical supplies, and warnings of famine affecting large parts of the population.
International organisations have repeatedly called for greater protection of civilians and increased access for humanitarian aid.
