Participants of spring programme organised by the Ministry of Awqaf and Islamic Affairs.
Doha, Qatar: The Department of Religious Call and Guidance at the Ministry of Awqaf and Islamic Affairs has concluded its spring programme “The Spring of Quran Students”.
The programme witnessed participation of 150 students from 12 Holy Quran learning centres affiliated with the Department of the Holy Qur’an and its Sciences.
The activates included purposeful educational programmes, matches, movement activities, and various cultural competitions, which enrich the educational and cultural aspects of the participants, and contribute to sharpening motivation and urging increased achievement in centres.
It also contributes to attracting new groups to learn Holy Quran in the centers spread across the country. At the conclusion of the programme, 32 students were honoured with valuable gifts.
The programme educates a group of students about the Holy Quran teaching centres and managing their time, while enhancing the value of teamwork, and instilling virtuous educational values through these purposeful educational meetings, and sport activities like football and cultural competitions.
The programme targeted the participation of 150 students from twelve centres for teaching Holy Quran, with the participation of 11 students from each centre, from the preparatory and secondary levels, and at a rate of six centres each week.
The first week witnessed the participation of centres: (Abu Bakr Al Siddiq in the Umm Goulina region, Al Fadl bin Abbas in the Muaither region in the south, Abu Hanifa in the Old Airport area, Imam Al Duri in the New Salata area, Ahmed bin Hanbal in the Old Airport area, and Dar Al Salam Centre in the Bu Hamour area).
Six centres participated in the second week: (Asim bin Abi Al Najood in the Fareej bin Dirham area, Al Itqan in the Al Waab area, Al Emadi in the Al Thumama area, Anas bin Al-Nadr in the Al Nasr area, Abu Jaafar Al Qaqa in the Al Thumama area, and Kaab bin Malik Centre in the Al Gharafa area).
The programme witnessed great interaction from the participants who praised the organisation of these sports and entertainment programmes that contribute to increasing motivation, motivate students to be creative and distinguished, and instil in them tolerant Islamic values.
Participation in these programmes is by selecting the distinguished ones in the Holy Quran centres, to contribute to increasing student demand and encouraging them to commit to the programmes and curriculum of teaching the Holy Quran throughout the year.
