Beirut: The Israeli entity continued its assaults Friday on southern Lebanon, in a clear breach of the ceasefire agreement signed last year, targeting border areas in the south.

Lebanese sources reported the movement of Israeli military vehicles around a newly established site on Lebanese territory in the Hammams Hill area, accompanied by gunfire directed toward open land south of the town of Khiam.

The sources also confirmed that an Israeli drone dropped a sound bomb near the Khiam plain.

Yesterday, the Israeli entity carried out multiple airstrikes on several locations in southern Lebanon, resulting in the death of one individual.

The ceasefire agreement, which came into effect on November 27 of last year, stipulated the withdrawal of Israeli forces from southern Lebanese villages and towns within 60 days.

The Lebanese government later approved an extension until February 18; however, Israeli forces remain stationed at five points and continue their violations, which have exceeded 4,500 breaches, according to a recent statement by the Lebanese Army.
