Doha, Qatar: In conjunction with the International Day of Charity, which falls on September 5 of each year, Jassim and Hamad bin Jassim Charitable Foundation emphasised the continuation of its humanitarian efforts at the local and international levels, based on its own vision in translating its humanitarian goals.
This is done by focusing on the concept of sustainability as an integral part of the nature of its charitable initiatives and projects, which have clearly contributed over the 22 years since the beginning of its establishment to enabling needy communities in many countries around the world to play an active role in their renaissance, by focusing on supporting the health and education sectors.
The Foundation built hospitals, primary health care centers, educational complexes, vocational and industrial training centers, and housing projects, in addition to its relief efforts, based on its deep belief that healthier and more educated societies are able to produce a sustainable renaissance that can be upgraded and keep pace with the changes.

22 year of great achievements
Over the past 22 years, the Foundation has made many achievements in terms of charitable projects in the fields of health, education, and housing, as well as relief initiatives in many countries around the world.
The total cost of the projects implemented by the Foundation over the past 20 years amounted to over QR605m and benefited about 13 million people around the world.
This number of beneficiaries of the projects is considered an exceptional achievement for an institution that relies on its own capabilities to implement its development initiatives and programs, which has contributed to leaving a clear mark in the lives of many people of needy communities around the world, and has supported their aspirations to live a better life, and this fruit is the core of the institution’s purposes as its vision is “health and education for a better life.”

Pioneering projects
One of the most important projects implemented by the Foundation, particularly in the fields of health and education, is the construction of two schools in Pakistan and the start of equipping them, located in the Baharari region - the city of Jhang - the Punjab province, in cooperation with the Ministry of Education in Pakistan.
The project consists of two educational complexes, one of which is designated for girls and the other for boys, and is expected to enroll approximately 1,200 students.
Sharifa Hospital in Marrakesh, Kingdom of Morocco, recently started offering service. Hamad Bin Jassim Industrial Training Centeropened in 2017 in the state of Maharashtra, India, with a capacity of 300 students annually. It has contributed to changing the lives of many young people in the region who are enrolled in its various vocational programs and preparing them, at the hands of experienced trainers, to join the labour market.
The Hamad Bin Jassim Center for Integrated Rehabilitation Care in the Gaza Strip is considered one of the qualitative projects due to the specialisation of its services that address the segment of people with multiple and permanent disabilities, at the level of treatment and rehabilitation as well as educational services.

Jassem and Hamad bin Jassim Charitable Foundation continues to make diligent efforts to support various segments of society within Qatar, as this trend is at the top of the Foundation’s map of priorities.
The initiatives and activities supported by the Foundation are diverse and extend to various segments of society. In addition to this, we enhance the developmental role played by the Foundation by supporting the health and education sectors and supporting the activities of civil society organizations to devote the sustainable development impact that the Foundation seeks to achieve through its various initiatives, which are formulated in line with Qatar National Vision 2030.
Local projects top the priorities of Jassim and Hamad bin Jassim Charitable Foundation, and as we began to shed light on the total value of local projects over the past 22 years, which amounted to QR361.6m.
Local projects and initiatives have varied to cover the various needs of needy people, especially health, education, and social needs, and to support various civil society bodies and organisations.
This is in addition to financial and in-kind assistance to a number of needy individuals and families, through which the Foundation strengthens its community presence in supporting these groups within the country and supporting their aspirations to live a dignified and stable life.
