Doha: The organizing committee of the Sheikh Jassim Holy Quran Competition announced that the number of candidates registered for 27th edition of the contest of 2022 reached 2,132 including male and female.
The organizing committee of the competition, in a statement, said that the number of registered candidates in the categories section allocated to citizens, males and females, amounted to 619 contestants, including 180 males and 439 females.
In the children category, the total number of registered citizens and residents reached 1,513 contestants, where 505 citizens registered in the category, including 281 males and 224 females, while the number of registered expats reached 1,008 contestants, including 591 males and 417 females.
The Categories branch targets the participation of citizens (male and female) who memorize the Holy Quran in categories 5, 10, 15, 20, 25, the first or last parts of the Holy Quran. Males and females, citizens and residents, compete in the children category of the competition in memorizing one part of the last five parts of the Holy Quran.
The organizing committee of the competition noted that the examinations will start on September 10 according to the detailed schedule announced by the committee at the headquarters of the Women’s Memorization Division in Al Waab area.
The organizing committee of the competition indicated that all the committees for female examinations in the categories and children are judges who are skilled in memorizing the Holy Qur’an.
The organizing committee of the competition was keen to attract the largest number of citizens and residents to participate in the categories and children; Valuable financial rewards were allocated to all winners in the categories branch according to the appreciation in each category, and the competition also allocated rewarding financial prizes to all winners in the children branch according to appreciation, so that the participants compete in the most honorable fields, which is the field of memorizing the Noble Quran.
