Doha, Qatar: The Cultural Village Foundation (Katara) continued the activities of Katara Summer Camp, which will come to an end on August 15, with the provision of an integrated program of entertainment, education and sports.

The participating parties in the camp offer a number of awareness and training workshops.

Raghda Jamal, responsible for the Al Jazeera Ambassadors Initiative and the trainer of the story writing workshop for young people, said that she ''was happy with this cooperation between the Al Jazeera Ambassadors Initiative of the Al Jazeera Media Institute and the Katara Summer Camp. The importance of the eight workshops offered to the youth participating in the camp is that they were designed to take care of the youth category in particular.''

The Civil Defense also presented a workshop to raise awareness of the dangers of electricity, in addition to training on the use of fire extinguishers.

The question and answer section in the schedule of the activities aims to improve skills in general, as the educational activities develop their intellectual skills and the accuracy of their observations, in addition to supporting the group spirit through group games.

On a visit to the Dhow Museum, the participants were introduced to diving trips and traditional dhows and informed about that era, an important legacy of Qatar's maritime heritage.
