Ramallah: Palestinian Presidency condemned Sunday the grave Israeli aggression against Palestinian people and their sacred sites, after the occupation has allowed groups of Jewish extremists to raid the blessed Al-Aqsa Mosque, with its ongoing operations against the Gaza Strip.

Spokesperson for the Palestinian Presidency Nabil Abu Rudeineh said in a statement that the continuation of the Israeli aggression against Al-Aqsa Mosque, Gaza Strip, Jenin and other towns and villages has completely crossed the line - posing an Israeli attempt for escalation and creating further stress. Rudeineh called on the international community, particularly the US Administration, to immediately intervene to stop this aggression before it is too late.

Palestinian President Mahmoud Abbas continues efforts with regional and international parties to stop this aggression that is targeting Palestinians and their sacred Islamic and Christian sites, Rudeineh added, stressing that it is crucial for the United Nations Security Council, which will hold a private session to address the war on the Gaza Strip, to shoulder its responsibilities and end the aggression.

In reference to the Saturday evening attack on Al Shaout area in Rafah, the Civil Defense Directorate in Gaza said Sunday that the Israeli occupation demolished residential buildings, leaving Palestinian civilians -including children and elderly- under the rubble, with complete disregard to all international humanitarian conventions and norms.

The Israeli occupation continues its aggression on the Gaza Strip, for the third day in a row, using its rockets and artillery, after which 32 Palestinians have been martyred, while 215 others were injured, in an initial toll. (QNA)
