All tickets have sold out for the much-anticipated Kadim Al Sahir and Fahad Al Kubaisi music concert on August 17 at Qatar National Convention Centre theatre, said the event organisers, The Social Studio.
Tickets started selling late last month in the silver, gold, platinum, VIP and royal categories with prices ranging from QR45 to QR395 at Virgin Megastore branches and at the store’s ticketing website.
“Within a few hours of announcing the performances of Kadim Al Sahir and Fahad Al Kubaisi, tickets began to sell out. This is an indication that the audience has a sophisticated musical taste, which makes us very happy,” said Hamzeh Zahr, Managing Director of The Social Studio. Dubbed the “Ceasar of Arabic Song”, Al Sahir is looking forward to his performance in Qatar.
“People, the world over, deserve to experience sophisticated music which is created in a moment of peace,” he said, adding that he will also be performing pieces from his latest album. Qatari celebrity pop artist Fahad Al Kubaisi, promises his audience a special evening, saying, “This is the first time I perform during Qatar Summer Festival and without a doubt, it means a lot to me to perform in my own country, giving everybody the opportunity to come together in the spirit of solidarity and love.”
The concert comes as part of the Qatar Summer Festival’s (QSF) live entertainment offerings and is being supported by Qatar Tourism Authority as part of its strategy to support and engage local businesses in the tourism sector.
The festival has activities happening across Qatar under the theme ‘Colour your Summer’. It offers residents and visitors an array of family entertainment and activities, exciting shopping discounts and enticing hospitality packages. The fourth edition of the festival began on the first day of Eid Al Fitr and runs until September 5.
