GENEVA: Minister of Labour, H E Dr. Ali bin Smaikh Al Marri, held meetings with their Excellencies the Ministers of Labour of the GCC countries and the official delegations, with the aim of unifying the GCC position in the International Labour Organization.
The meetings, organised by the Ministry of Labour, came within the framework of joint coordination between the GCC Ministers of Labour, and the endeavours to consolidate positions within international organisations.
During the meetings, their excellencies reviewed the cooperation of the GCC countries with labour-providing countries (from Africa) and support for mechanisms of joint dialogue.
They discussed matters related to the agenda of the 110th session of the International Labour Conference, focusing on the priorities of GCC states, in addition to discussing aspects of cooperation in the fields of work and ways to support and develop them.
