PEC students have proved their mettle by winning team positions as well as ranking at top speakers throughout the competitions in the last few years arranged by Qatar Debate.
Likewise, for the term 2014-2015, the two teams of PEC, girls and boys, qualified for the Nationals tournament. A promising student of PEC, Zuha Sattar was picked as the top speaker from 138 speakers in the 1st and 2nd tournaments of QSDL for the fall 2014-15. She was awarded with medal, certificate and credit card of QR1,000 whereas Mahnoor Shahid grabbed 4th position and also awarded with medal and certificate.
The girls team comprising Zuha Sattar, Mahnoor Shahid and Mehak Tanveer qualified for Nationals after contesting in 1st and 2nd QSDL Tournaments. Girl’s team won Octo-Final round, the quarter final stage and reached the semi final as the nationals was based on knock out rounds.
