Doha, Qatar: The United Kingdom Ministry of Defense said that the US has begun using British bases for defensive operations.
It added that this step is to prevent Iran from firing missiles into the region, noting that this situation puts British lives at risk.
It added that RAF Typhoon and F-35 jets are continuing air operations over Jordan, Qatar, and Cyprus, as well as the wider region, to defend British interests and allies.
The Ministry said that a Merlin helicopter is en route to the region to provide additional airborne surveillance and reinforce defensive capabilities that were pre-deployed earlier in the year.
