Al Ahli Hospital’s educational and training programmes for healthcare professionals have been accredited by the Qatar Council for Healthcare Practitioners Accreditation Department (QCHP-AP) for three years.
Al Ahli Hospital currently runs hospital-wide educational events thus creating opportunities for licensed health care practitioners to earn QCHP category 1 points on-site.
The Continuous Professional Development (CPD) accreditation programme for health care practitioners was established in Qatar last year.
This programme encourages and supports licensed healthcare practitioners to improve their knowledge by keeping up to date with changing healthcare trends thus enabling them to meet the needs of their patients.
Khalid Al-Emadi, the Chief Executive Officer of Medicare and Al Ahli Hospital, said, “Al-Ahli Hospital is committed to providing continuous medical education and professional development for its health care practitioners and in 2016 it was granted accreditation from the QCHP-AP for three years with effective from June 9, 2016”.
“The CPD Program is committed to delivering educational activities through blended learning opportunities to all Licensed Healthcare Practitioners to address identified gaps in knowledge, skills and behaviors that will enhance our guests’ health care and outcomes,” he added.
According to Dr Loui Al Fakhri, Head of Staff Training and Development Department, Al Ahil Hospatil states has run 13 CPD events that have been attended by 1,320 licensed healthcare practitioners from the hospital.
This level of activity has enabled our licensed Staff to claim 1,320 category 1 CPD points saving them time and cost as they have not had to attend such programs at other accredited providers or even outside the country.
