Doha: The Qatar Kite Festival, one of the country’s most anticipated winter events, is set to return to Doha in January 2026 for its fourth edition, bringing together internationally renowned kite flyers alongside a wide range of family-friendly activities.
According to the Qatar Kite Festival website, the event will run from January 15 to 24, 2026.
This year’s edition will feature 20 professional kite teams from around the world, delivering large-scale aerial displays in the city sky.
Visitors can expect day-and-night kite flying, showcasingartisticc designs, character kites, and synchronized performances led by international experts.
A variety of food and beverage outlets will also be available throughout the venue, enhancing the overall visitor experience.
The Festival will also offer a wide range of ground activities, including kite-making workshops for children, free kite giveaways, cultural performances, carnival parades, stage shows, and dedicated kids’ zones and playgrounds.
Following a strong turnout in its previous edition, the festival last year attracted thousands of visitors and residents, with Doha’s skyline serving as a striking backdrop for large-scale kite displays and public flying sessions.
More details about the festival are expected to be announced by the organisers in the coming days.
