Doha, Qatar: The Public Works Authority, ‘Ashghal’ has announced a temporary full road closure of Al Markhiya Street for all traffic coming from Lekhwair Intersection towards the Qatar National Library Interchange.
The road closure was to resume maintenance work and will take effect from 2am to 10am on Friday, January 9, 2026 and from 2am till 7am on Saturday, January 10, 2026.
Road users are urged to adhere to speed limit, use all available diversion routes and consider rerouting through nearby streets to reach their destinations as indicated on the map attached.
Closure on Izghawa Street for two weeks
Also announced is the temporary closure at the intersection of Izghawa Street and Wadi Al Mashrab Street, with right turns allowed from the main signal.
The closure starts 12am on Monday, January 12, until the end of Sunday, January 25, 2026, to carry out maintenance work as part of the Roads & Infrastructure project in Al Kharaitiyat & Izghawa – Package 2.
