The State of Qatar is taking part in Khartoum International Holy Quran Award contest which began yesterday with the participation of about 60 contestants from different countries.
Qatar is represented by Fahd Salem Al-Jaber, a candidate of the Ministry of Awqaf and Islamic Affairs, in the category of memorizing, recitation, and interpretation of the holy Quran.
The Ministry of Awqaf and Islamic Affairs is keen to participate in the international competitions of the holy Quran and its recitation and achieve advanced positions. The three top winners will be awarded $40,000, $30,000, and $20,000 respectively.
