ISTANBUL: Ten people were wounded when a bomb was detonated on a motorbike left near a police station in Istanbul on Thursday, provincial governor Vasip Sahin told reporters at the scene of the blast.

He said the wounded were all civilians and investigations were continuing into which group might be responsible. Kurdish, leftist and Islamic State militants have all carried out bomb attacks across Turkey in the past.
