Cairo: The 30th Saladin Citadel Festival for Music and Singing starts at the Egyptian Opera House in Cairo from August 14 to 31.
The festival includes 42 diverse concerts and performances by an elite of music and singing stars in Egypt and the Arab world, as well as a number of foreign bands, and also witnesses the honoring of 9 celebrities who contributed to enrich the artistic scene in Egypt and the Arab world.
Head of the Artistic House of Music, Opera and Ballet and supervisor of the Festival Dr. Khaled Dagher said in a statement to the Qatar news agency (QNA) that the festival will present an elegant art in the important performances it shows, including a musical performance by musician Omar Khairat, pointing out that the festival is also gaining an important dimension because it is held in a historical place that mixes history and antiquities, and characterized by originality, and it opens its doors to the public at symbolic prices that encourage everyone to attend its events.
For her part, , Egypt's Minister of Culture Dr. Inas Abdel Dayem said in a statement that since its launch in 1990, Saladin Citadel Festival has been characterized by the diversity and richness of its artistic content, and includes a set of serious creative arts in line with plans to achieve cultural justice and contribute to the implementation of sustainable development axes related to building society and man.
