Alfai Restaurant opens its door

DOHA: Msheireb Properties and Savy Hospitality have jointly announced the soft opening of Alfai Restaurant, located next to The Company House Museum at Msheireb Downtown Doha, the flagship project of Msheireb properties. 

Hafeez, Director of Msheireb Museums, Sheikh Abdul Rehman bin Saoud Al Thani and Yoonus Salim Vappattu from Savy Hospitality were present at the press conference to announce the opening.

Sheikh Abdul Rehman bin Saoud Al Thani, said, “Alfai Restaurant which means the shadow, is our dream project. The restaurant is housed in a part of The Company House which was the first technical office of the oil exploration initiatives in Qatar. Msheireb Museums has converted part of this heritage building to a Qatari fine dining restaurant, to showcase the local traditions and culture.”

He said that it was a great privilege and honour to be a part of Qatari history and tradition by opening the restaurant. 

“We are glad to announce that we have brought the famous Omani celebrity Chef Issa Allemki to head this prestigious restaurant. In addition, we have some signature dishes from renowned Qatari Chef Noora Al Khulaifi. We have presented this restaurant as a tribute to the local talent and culture. Paintings were sourced from Qatari artist Mariam and flower decorations from Qatari florist Haya.” 

Yoonus Salim Vappattu, Managing Director and Founder of Savy hospitality, added, “With heartiest gratitude, I thank from the bottom of my heart, Her Highness Sheikha Moza bint Nasser Al Misnad for entrusting us with this unique concept. We also thank Msheireb Properties and The Company House Museum Management for considering us for this project and extending all their supports.”

“We, at Alfai are excited to serve our guests traditional food with a contemporary presentation yet preserving the taste and staying faithful to ethos and spirit of the local cuisine,” said Chef Issa Allemki.
Alfai would be open for service from 11am to 11.30pm daily.
