The Central Laboratories Department at The General Authority for Specification and Standardization conducted a 33,899 tests on 25,462 samples which were forwarded to the authority.
This came among the authority’s achievement for last year. The samples include building materials, electricity appliances, petroleum pumps, fish, environmental objects among others. The weight of samples which have been inspected in gold section is 10.43 tons.
The General Authority for Specification and Standardization considers the only national authority for standardisation in the country.
