DOHA: The Qatar Stock Exchange index rose at the beginning of yesterday's trading, by 124.72 points, or 1.15 percent, to reach the level of 10969 points, compared to the closing of day before yesterday’s trading (Wednesday).
Data issued by the Qatar Stock Exchange indicated that the index increased, supported by most sectors. The banking and financial services sector increased by 2.95 percent, the telecommunications sector by 0.50 percent, the insurance sector by 0.48 percent, the real estate sector by 0.31 percent, the industries sector by 0.16 percent, and the transport sector by 0. 13 percent. On the other hand, the consumer goods and services sector decreased by 0.36 percent.
At 10:00 am, Qatar Stock Exchange recorded transactions worth 62.175m riyals, distributed to 15,619 shares, with the implementation of 1991 transactions.
