Sheikh Saoud meets Brunei Olympic chief

DOHA: Sheikh Saoud Bin Abdulrahman Al Thani, Secretary-General of the Qatar Olympic Committee (QOC) met yesterday at the QOC Headquarters H R H Prince Haji Sufri Bolkiah , the President of Brunei Olympic Committee and Football Federation who is on an official visit to Qatar.
Sheikh Saoud greeted the Brunei senior Olympic official and stressed the importance of effective cooperation between the two countries to serve their sport development efforts.
Talks during the meeting focused on ways of expanding common cooperation between Qatar and Brunei especially in the sport fields. 
Both sides also reviewed the possibility of Brunei to benefit from Qatar’s pioneer experience in both “ Schools Olympic Program” and “National Sport Day”.
H R H Prince Haji Sufri Bolkiah applauded ‘Qatar’s comprehensive development in the sports infrastructure and its ambitious strategy for development in all fields especially hosting of top flight international events. 
The visiting official also praised Qatar’s professional abilities in hosting major international sport events, a QOC statement said yesterday. The meeting was also attended by  Fisal Saleh Al Mansoori, Director of the QOC Public Relations and Marketing Department, the statement added. THE PENINSULA
