Doha, Qatar: Tesla, in a post on the social media platform X on Friday, announced that it has begun selling its Cybertruck in Qatar, Reuters reported.
Qatar now joins Saudi Arabia, whose Tesla launch took place earlier in April of this year, and the UAE, which was Tesla’s first foray into the Middle East market back in 2017.
The three GCC countries constitute the first wave of Tesla’s Cybertruck sales outside North America.
The move underscores Tesla’s drive to widen its international reach as it faces slowing demand and intensifying competition in its core U.S. and Chinese markets.
The company said it would support regional sales with online ordering, pop-up showrooms, Supercharger stations and service centers.
