The Pearl-Qatar attracted a large number of residents and visitors to its festive events and activities during Eid Al Fitr. Families from Qatar and neighbouring GCC countries thronged 18 La Croisette where the main Eid event took place, as well as shopping centres, cafes and restaurants in the Island in addition to the newly opened Novo cinema complex.
The diverse activity programme organized by United Development Company (UDC) saw children and adults engage in various recreational activities, including caricature drawing and oil on water art, face painting, balloon twisting, bouncing castles, educational games and colouring workshops.
Children further enjoyed activities held in Tickles & Giggles, a venue dedicated for hosting children’s events with stilt walkers, clowns and cartoon characters roving around the celebration area cheering up the audience and taking photos with them.
In this spirit, Abdulrahim Al Ibrahim, Director of The Pearl-Qatar Central Authority stated, “We thank Qatar Tourism Authority for partnering with The Pearl-Qatar as part of its Eid promotional campaign. The huge turnout and happy faces we have welcomed this past week are enough testimony that we have succeeded in catering fun to our community and that our diligent work and careful choice of activities are rightly geared to reflect Qatar’s genuine heritage and deep rooted culture.”
