London: A man in his 40s was killed in a shooting in Dun Laoghaire, County Dublin, on Sunday morning, Irish police said.
The shooting occurred at around 830 a.m. at Patrician Park on Kill Avenue, according to An Garda Siochnna, Ireland's national police service.
The man's body remained at the scene pending a post-mortem examination. The area was cordoned off for a forensic examination, while road closures and local diversions were put in place.
Investigations are still underway.
