Doha: The long wait was finally over as Qatar's secondary school students received their results for the 2025-2026 academic year on Thursday, marking the end of years of pursuing knowledge, perseverance and countless hours of studying.
For many high-achieving students, it was a euphoric moment of relief and celebration, opening the door to the next chapter in their academic journey. Behind every success story, however, stood families whose unwavering support helped make those achievements possible.
For Aisha Fouad Al Nasser, who graduated from Al Thumama Secondary School for Girls with an outstanding 99.81%, this represented lifelong ambition.
"I'm really happy that I've made my dream come true," she said. "I'd like to thank my family because they've always supported me throughout this considerably difficult journey."
Aisha hopes to study medicine and build a career centered on helping others. "I'll always strive to help people," she said.
Sharing the celebrations and heightened emotions was Batool Ayman Abdelkarim Ayman, also a graduate of Al Thumama Secondary School for Girls in the scientific track, who achieved an overall of 98.13%. "It's an indescribable feeling to finally finish. I'm filled with relief." she said.
Reflecting on the challenges of the school year, Batool said the final weeks were often the most demanding.
"During the long revision period towards the end of the term, you sometimes become nervous and feel like you're starting to forget everything," she said. "But in the end, all the hard work paid off."
Batool's mother also shared that her daughter's success was built on consistency and dedication.
"Batool was diligent and hardworking throughout the entire year and always made sure to stay on top of her lessons from the very beginning," she said. "There were many sleepless nights and moments of exhaustion, but she persevered and remained calm under pressure."
She also praised Batool's teachers for their constant support, saying they closely followed the students' progress, continuously provided revision materials and treated every student as if they were their own daughters. Inspired by the environment that nurtured her, Batool now hopes to study mathematics or chemistry education.
Some students like Kareem Mohamed Al Sayed Mansour, a graduate of Ahmed Bin Hanbal Secondary School for Boys who earned 98% in the scientific track, also shared how achieving success was possible.
"I relied on multiple sources, worked hard, prayed and by the grace of Allah, achieved the marks I had hoped for." Kareem now plans to pursue medicine with the goal of becoming a surgeon.
"I'll continue this journey of self-discovery, figuring out what works best both personally and in my field," he said.
Kareem's mother stayed by his side to support him, describing this moment as “one of the happiest days” of her life. "Seeing my son's hard work, along with our efforts as a family, pay off and watching him achieve grades that made both his dreams and ours come true is an incredible feeling," she said.
As celebrations continue across the nation, this year's General Secondary Certificate results served as more than just a reflection of academic excellence. They also highlighted the dedication of families who stood behind every student, proving that while achievement is individual, success is a journey that has its fair share of contributors.
