Hamad Medical Corporation (HMC) and the Al Faisal Without Borders Foundation (Alf), jointly launched a blood donation campaign.
It was officially launched by Sheikh Faisal bin Qassim Al Thani, Chairman of the Board of Trustees of Alf at City Center Doha, Doha’s busiest and most vibrant mall.
Hamad Medical Corporation representatives present at the launching ceremony included Ali Al Khater, Chief Communications Officer; Dr Yousuf Al Maslamani, Medical Director of Hamad General Hospital; Dr Abdulla Al Ansari, Deputy Chief of Medical, Academic and Research Affairs for Surgical Services; Dr Riadh Fadhil, Director of Qatar Organ Donation Center; Hassan Al Hail, Executive Director for Media and Public Relations; and Siddiqa Al Mahmoudi, Medical Manager of HMC’s Blood Donor Center.
Abdullatif Ali Al Yafei, General Manager of ALF, was also present at the event. The blood Donation Center and Qatar Organ Donation Center at HMC usually organise blood and organ donation campaigns in Ramadan.
HMC officials expressed their appreciation to Sheikh Faisal bin Qassim Al Thani, as well as local organisations and shopping malls which sponsor and host the campaigns throughout Ramadan. Speaking to the press at the event, Sheikh Faisal said: “We always strive to facilitate and extend services to the community in City Center Mall in partnership with HMC through an annual stand to promote blood and organ donation.
