Doha, Qatar: The Training and Development Center at the Ministry of Education and Higher Education continues to enhance its operational readiness to receive trainees in in-person training programmes at its headquarters, as part of its commitment to ensuring the continuity of training processes with high efficiency and flexibility.
The Center has implemented a set of organisational and precautionary measures to ensure a safe and effective training environment.
These include rescheduling training programmes to align with the current phase, reducing the number of trainees in training halls, and shifting several programmes to remote learning formats to balance training quality with safety requirements.
Through these efforts, the Center has accommodated approximately 400 trainees from various educational and administrative cadres. As part of its efforts to strengthen field safety systems, the Center also organised a series of specialised awareness workshops on crisis management.
These workshops targeted school leaders, teachers, and administrative staff, aiming to enhance their ability to respond to exceptional circumstances and ensure the continuity and stability of the educational process.
In support of professional licensing requirements, the Center emphasised that its accredited training programmes serve as a cornerstone for meeting licensing criteria for educational staff and as a key driver of professional competency development.
During the previous academic year, the Center successfully issued 1,406 professional licenses, including 998 for teachers, 304 for coordinators, and 104 for school leaders, achieving a national workforce empowerment rate of 40%.
To ensure smooth and efficient procedures, the Center rescheduled licensing processes for teachers and coordinators in coordination with schools, making optimal use of the postponement of midterm exams for the second semester.
Meanwhile, professional licensing committees for school leaders began convening this week.
Additionally, the Mentoring Leaders Program for professional licensing has been launched. The initiative aims to transfer best practices from distinguished leaders to their peers who have not yet completed licensing procedures, reinforcing a culture of continuous development and effective leadership practices.
The Training and Development Center reaffirmed its commitment to maintaining continuous and effective communication with schools to complete all accreditation procedures for the current academic year with flexibility. It also continues to deliver programmes in line with its approved annual plan, which has achieved high satisfaction rates.
These efforts reflect the Center’s vision that professional readiness and proactive preparation are fundamental pillars for sustaining performance and achieving institutional excellence, supporting the development of human capital and advancing the Ministry’s strategic objectives.
