Doha: The General Tax Authority has set this April 30 as the last date for submitting the tax return for the fiscal year 2021 for companies and establishments owned by Qatari citizens and from Gulf Cooperation Council countries, which are exempt from income tax, and owners of companies that have a foreign partner.
The authority called for submitting the tax return before the mentioned date through the electronic tax portal www.dhareeba.com, where both types of tax returns are submitted simplified and audited by a certified accounting office through the portal with the need for all companies to observe the conditions for attaching final accounts when filing tax returns.
The General Tax Authority called on all Qatari companies to commit to submitting the tax return for the tax year 2021 before that date to avoid financial penalties in accordance with the Income Tax Law and its Executive Regulations, as the tax return must be submitted by all companies and permanent establishments exempt from tax, owned by Qatari citizens and from GCC countries.
The authority stated that it seeks to enhance the principle of tax compliance with taxpayers, and stressed the importance of companies’ commitment to the necessity of submitting tax returns, noting that these companies benefit from the tax system in an important way, given the consequent enhancement of their efficiency, governance, and raising the level of their performance in order to raise financial return and profit increase.
