Doha: The General Administration of Endowments at the Ministry of Endowments and Islamic Affairs announced its continued support for the “Giving Basket” project, which benefited 4,201 families in Qatar during the holy month of Ramadan last year.
Director-General of the General Administration of Endowments Dr. Sheikh Khalid bin Mohammed Al Thani said that the “Giving Basket” is one of the pioneering initiatives launched by the administration since the beginning of the COVID-19 pandemic in cooperation with Hifz Al Naema Center, to deliver food baskets to needy families and workers.
Director of Hifz Al Naema Center Eng. Ali bin Ayed Al Qahtani praised the support of the General Administration of Endowments for sponsoring the “Basket of Giving” project, and cooperation with the centre to deliver these food baskets which are provided by the General Administration of Endowments to needy families and workers.
The “Giving Basket” initiative and the accompanying campaign was launched by the General Administration of Endowments at the Ministry of Endowments and Islamic Affairs with the aim of promoting the culture of giving, spreading the spirit of sympathy and compassion among different segments of society, and spreading the spirits of giving in the holy month.
